Installing a rigid mesh fencing kit is an excellent solution for securing your property while bringing together all the necessary elements. Whether it is to protect your garden, delimit a play area, or create an enclosure, rigid mesh fencing offers robustness and durability.
However, to ensure a successful and long-lasting installation, it is essential to follow specific steps and have the right tools. In this article, our experts guide you through the installation steps for a rigid mesh fencing kit, from ground preparation to fixing the panels.
The different types of kits
At Districlos, you will find various kits that will meet your expectations or needs for delimiting your land and protecting your property from external intrusions or wild animals. The Pro and Pro+ ranges feature 4 different mounting options (with gravel boards, on base plates, with screening, or for inground setting). The Brico+ range consists of base plate and inground mounting.
How to install a kit with gravel boards?
Installing a rigid mesh fencing kit with gravel boards allows you to improve not only the stability of your fence but also to protect its base against moisture and debris. Prepare the ground by leveling it and clearing obstacles. Mark the locations of the posts, respecting the distances indicated in the kit. Dig holes for the posts, ensuring they are deep enough to guarantee stability. Place the posts and seal them with concrete, checking their alignment and verticality.
Once the posts are securely fixed, install the gravel boards by inserting them into the grooves provided for this purpose on the posts. Ensure that the boards are well-anchored and adjusted to avoid any play. Then, fix the rigid mesh panels above the gravel boards. Ensure that each panel is properly aligned and securely attached to the posts.
How to install a kit on base plates?
Installing a rigid mesh fencing kit on base plates is an ideal solution for hard surfaces such as concrete terraces or low walls. Mark the fixing points, then drill holes at the marked locations. Insert the expansion bolts into the holes, place the base plates over them, and then fix them securely with the provided screws. Check with a spirit level that each base plate is perfectly straight to ensure a stable installation.
Once the base plates are in place, fix the rigid mesh posts onto the base plates using the provided fixings. Ensure that each post is well-anchored and perfectly vertical. Then, attach the rigid mesh panels to the posts following the kit instructions. Regularly check the alignment of the panels to ensure a uniform and aesthetic installation.
How to install a kit with screening?
Installing a rigid mesh fencing kit with screening allows you to combine security and privacy for your outdoor space. Mark the locations of the posts, respecting the distances recommended in the kit. Dig holes for the posts, ensuring sufficient depth for good stability, and fix the posts with concrete.
Once the posts are installed, fix the rigid mesh panels to the posts. Ensure that the panels are well-aligned and securely fixed to guarantee a stable structure. Then, proceed with installing the PVC privacy slats. Start by inserting the vertical slats from bottom to top, ensuring they are properly adjusted.
How to install an inground kit?
Mark the locations of the posts, respecting the distances indicated in the kit. Dig holes 30 to 40 cm deep for the posts, ensuring a solid fixing.

Place the first post in the hole and seal it with concrete, ensuring it is perfectly straight. Repeat this operation for each post, regularly checking the overall alignment using a string line stretched between the start and end posts. Let the concrete harden for at least 24 hours to ensure optimal fixing. Once the posts are securely anchored, fix the panels of rigid mesh to the posts.
