How to Use the CAME TOP44RBN Remote

To pair the remote with your gate motor, first activate the Self-Learning Rolling (U8) function on your control panel. Stand within 16 feet of the gate to ensure the receiver picks up the signal during programming.

There are three programming methods, depending on your setup:

  • Using an existing programmed remote: Hold the old remote next to the new one and press the active button for 15 seconds until the LED stays on.
  • Via the CAME Connect app: Configure directly from your smartphone—no need to access the control panel.
  • With CAME Key: Ideal for fast on-site programming.

Each button operates an independent channel, allowing you to control up to four different devices from a single remote.

How can I tell if a gate remote is compatible? +

There are three main factors to check: radio frequency, coding type, and the receiver model. The remote's frequency, measured in MHz, must match exactly with your gate opener's receiver—433.92 MHz for the TOP CAME range, 868.35 MHz for some newer models.

The coding type is just as important. A rolling code remote can't replace a fixed code model, even if the frequency is the same. For example, ATOMO and TOP series use different radio protocols and aren't compatible with each other.

It's the receiver—not the motor—that determines actual compatibility. Check your old remote or open the control box to find the exact receiver reference before buying a replacement.
