How to Install a CAME Keypad

Before starting, disconnect the power to your CAME gate opener. This is essential for safe installation.

Begin by preparing the mounting surface: drill through the pre-marked holes on the back of the keypad housing to allow for secure attachment. Once ready, firmly mount the housing to your post or wall using screws and anchors suitable for your surface. To ensure the unit is weatherproof, carefully position the protective gasket before attaching the inner frame.

After mounting, insert the CR123A battery into its compartment and secure the base to the keypad. Next, place the selector inside the housing and fasten it with the screws provided. Finish assembly by snapping the front cover onto the keypad to protect the keys and electronics. If you need to access the unit later, simply lever off the lower edge of the cover with a screwdriver for safe removal.

Now, program your user codes—each can be 2 to 8 digits long. Restore power, then test each code: a beep confirms successful entry. If you hear a continuous beep, check the wiring and battery condition.
