The rack for a sliding gate is designed to move your gate laterally.
It ensures your sliding gate opens and closes smoothly and stays properly aligned.
The rack works simply: it looks like a bar with teeth or notches. Connected to the motor, the rack runs along the length of your gate.
A motorized sliding gate offers real convenience—no more opening the gate by hand in bad weather.
Our sliding gate motor kit includes four racks.
If one of your racks wears out, you can easily replace it yourself—no need to call a professional.
How to choose your rack
For lighter gates under 800 kg, nylon is a great choice.
Nylon is durable and maintenance-free. The lightest gates are often aluminum gates.
Aluminum is very lightweight yet remains one of the most robust materials available.
For heavier gates, welded steel racks are recommended. You can install the rack at the top or bottom of the gate, but for this model, we recommend mounting it on the lower section.
For a 3.5m gate: use 4 racks.
For a 4.0m gate: use 5 racks.

How to install a sliding gate rack
Start at the return end and position the mounting brackets correctly. Trim the rack if needed.
Secure the rack using screws in the pre-drilled holes.
Finally, check that your gate slides freely along the rail.
Tip: Leave a 2 mm gap between the motor pinion and the rack.
