To keep your fence posts stable, you have a few options depending on your soil type and project needs. Setting posts in concrete is the most durable method: dig a hole about 16 inches deep, place the post in the center, and pour concrete around it. If you're installing wire mesh fencing, wait five days before stretching the mesh. Alternatively, you can use drive-in post anchors for a no-concrete installation, which works well in softer ground.

Several types of fence posts can be installed without concrete, depending on your setup. Base plates can be bolted directly onto existing walls or concrete slabs using the right anchors. For woven wire fencing, drive the posts at least 20 inches into the ground and use accessories like tension wires and braces to handle mechanical stress. Screw-in ground anchors are a practical option for rigid mesh fencing on softer soil.

Standard post supports for flexible mesh fencing and rigid mesh fencing typically reach a maximum height of 2.50 meters. This height complies with most local regulations, which generally limit fence heights to 2.60 m in towns with fewer than 50,000 residents and up to 3.20 m in larger areas. For posts taller than 2 meters, we recommend using reinforced sections (35x35 mm) to ensure stability against mechanical stress.

To ensure your fence post is firmly set, focus on three main factors: the right anchoring depth for your soil type, precise vertical alignment using a level, and choosing hardware that matches your fence system. Dig holes at least 16 inches deep, set the post upright, and fill with either concrete or compacted soil, depending on your installation method.

This bracket is designed exclusively for T30 posts with a 30x30 mm profile, specifically made for flexible wire mesh fencing. Posts with a 35x35 mm profile are not compatible with this post model. Using the correct post ensures a secure fit and reliable performance under the mechanical stress of a tensioned mesh fence, providing a safe connection between the bracket and the post.

To figure out how many posts you'll need, divide the total length of your fence by 2.5 and then add one extra post. This standard method works for both wire mesh fencing and rigid fence panels. Be sure to use reinforced posts at corners and ends to handle the tension from the stretched mesh.
