The number of clips depends on the height of your rigid fence panel: use 4 clips per panel for panels up to 4 ft, 6 clips for panels between 5 ft and 5 ft 8 in, and 8 clips for panels 6 ft 4 in and taller. Attach the clips on both sides of the post to secure your wire mesh panel firmly.

Clips are not universal—they are designed to fit specific types of posts. Aluminum clips will only work with matching clip posts from the same product line. Position the rigid panel against the post, then insert each clip into the designated slots. Repeat this process about every 20 inches along the height of the panel to ensure a sturdy installation.

To install the clips, you'll mainly need a specialized clip plier or a mounting key that matches your clip model. For aluminum clips, you can also use a flathead screwdriver or standard pliers, depending on the fastening system. These tools help you securely lock the clips into the post slots.

To remove the clips, use a flathead screwdriver or adjustable pliers to gently pry each clip off. Keep in mind, this process usually damages the clips, so you'll likely need replacements. Aluminum clips come off more easily than steel ones, but both types can be tough to remove once they're attached to the fence posts.
