How to install a steel fence base panel
The steel base panel is a practical solution for installing fencing on sloped ground. It makes stepped installation straightforward, so you can align your rigid fence panels without damaging your yard. Installation is similar to that of a concrete base panel: once your posts are set in concrete, simply slide the base panel into the post groove. Fully compatible with our Tempo posts, so you can install with confidence.

Steel base panels are about eight times lighter than concrete ones (10kg vs. 50kg), making them much easier to transport and install. Steel is also more adaptable for sloped ground and stands up to the weather without special maintenance. Concrete provides a solid, proven foundation but is heavier and less flexible. On sloped ground, dig a trench to level each steel panel and offset the slope by partially burying the panels on the higher side. Place the panels into the post grooves, following the natural slope of the ground. This approach lets you fit your fence to uneven terrain without complicated cutting.
