Whether you're installing chain link fencing or welded wire fencing, the T-post is an essential component for a long-lasting fence. A properly installed fence is a durable fence. T-posts are suitable for all types of terrain, helping to secure your flexible fencing and making installation easier.
When selecting your T-post, start by determining the height of your fence. Your T-post should be taller than your fence panel. For example, for a 5 ft fence, choose a 6.5 ft post.
The T40 post featured here is ideal for fence heights from 6.5 ft to 8 ft, or for installations exposed to strong winds. The taller the fence, the sturdier the post should be.

How to install a T-post
First, mark out the locations for your T-posts, spacing them every 8 ft. Dig holes 8" x 8" wide and 12" deep. Set the posts in concrete and allow to cure. For extra support, we recommend adding bracing posts with dedicated bolts. If you're mounting on a wall or concrete base, use a T-post base plate for secure installation.
