Tempo Surface-Mount Plate Kit

The Tempo wall-mount plate is recommended when the top of your wall isn’t wide enough for a standard installation, typically if it’s less than 6 inches. It attaches to the side of the wall instead of the top, helping to avoid weakening the structure. This option is ideal for narrow walls, concrete slabs, or patios where embedding posts isn’t possible.

The wall plate is specifically designed for Tempo posts with notches or clips. It fits securely at the base of the post thanks to its precise dimensions and is bolted in place using 10 mm diameter screws. This exclusive compatibility ensures your rigid fence panel is firmly supported on a low wall.

Start by inserting the base plate into the bottom of the Tempo post and secure it using the supplied screws. Place the assembly against the side of the wall, mark the positions for the mounting holes, and drill to match the size of the anchor bolts. Attach the base plate to the surface using suitable anchors, making sure the post is level.

To secure your surface-mount base plate, use Ø10 expansion anchors or 10x120 mm anchor bolts, depending on the type of surface. For solid concrete, metal anchor bolts are recommended, while hammer-in anchors work well for hollow block walls. The hardware for attaching the post to the base plate is included in the kit.

Wall-mounted base plates allow you to install rigid fencing up to 1.50 m high without privacy screening. If you add privacy slats, the recommended maximum height for Tempo posts is 1.23 m to reduce wind load. For taller installations, ground anchoring is advised for better structural strength.
