Woven Privacy Slats for Fencing

There are several effective ways to add privacy to your rigid mesh fence. You can use PVC privacy slats that weave directly through the mesh, rigid privacy panels that clip onto the fence, or long-lasting composite slats. These privacy solutions are easy to install and don't require special tools, making it simple to increase privacy in your outdoor space.

Unroll your PVC slat and cut the first strip to the height of your fence panel plus 2 inches. Start weaving the slat from the bottom of the mesh, alternating in front of and behind each horizontal wire up to the top. Secure the slat at both the top and bottom of the panel using the supplied clips. Repeat this process for each slat across the entire width of your fence.

Rigid slats stay completely straight, giving your fence a clean and uniform look. Flexible slats have a wavy appearance because their flexibility lets you weave them easily through the mesh. This flexibility creates a more textured visual effect compared to rigid slats, which keep their geometric shape.

Divide the total length of your fence by 2.5 and add one extra post to complete the loop. For privacy screening kits, use one kit for every 82 feet of mesh fencing.
