The year 2021, like 2020, was a year full of challenges and trials to overcome. As the saying goes, “Alone we go faster, together we go further.” That is why our Districlos teams decided to make solidarity a priority. This Christmas season, we wanted to look back on our solidarity initiatives to start 2022 more motivated than ever!
A Look Back at Our Solidarity Initiatives
Supporting Hospitals:
The health crisis brought to light the healthcare workers, nurses, and medical professionals who fought and continue to fight alongside our patients. Naturally, we wanted to do our part to support and rally behind these new heroes: A major solidarity initiative was launched during the very first lockdown. Thanks to your purchases, we raised a sum of €75,000 donated to various associations and hospitals:
- All United Against the Virus (AP-HP, Fondation de France, and Institut Pasteur)
- Cholet Hospital Centre
- Chalon-sur-Saône Hospital Centre
- Eure et Seine Hospital Centre
- Béziers Hospital Centre
- Fréjus/Saint-Raphaël Intercommunal Hospital Centre
- Montélimar-Dieulefit Hospital Group
- Métropole Savoie Hospital Centre
- Sarrebourg Hospital Centre
- Seclin Carvin Hospital Group
- Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital
Let us continue our efforts to combat the COVID-19 epidemic!
Supporting the Victims of the Roya Valley:
Following the tragic events that occurred in October 2020 during Storm Alex in the Alpes-Maritimes, we launched a solidarity operation! We provided assistance to the victims through the UDSP 06 association. In total, 5 generators were donated along with numerous tools to help with search efforts and building cleanup. All our donations were delivered to the Contes fire station. Our thoughts go out especially to the families of the victims.
For the Environment:
For our 10th anniversary, we wanted to take action for the environment. During the period from May 1st to June 13, 2021, each purchase made on our website funded the planting of a tree. This partnership with Reforest’Action helped expand the forest area and enrich the soil in the municipality of Montravers (79). The results? More than 1,000 trees were planted! The benefits for nature are clear: 150 tonnes of CO2 were stored. 3,000 shelters for animals were created. 4,000 months of oxygen generated and more than 1,000 hours of work were created.

Pink October:
Each year in October, Ruban Rose works to fight breast cancer by informing, engaging in dialogue, and mobilizing. The month of October was an opportunity to highlight those who are fighting this disease and to intensify information and awareness efforts to help researchers and healthcare workers. This year, we are providing our support through a donation of €2,000 to the association.
Movember:
Since 2003, the Movember movement has funded more than 1,250 projects related to men’s health worldwide, transforming research on this subject and changing the way health services reach and support men. Testicular cancer, prostate cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention—Movember tackles all these issues. Once again, we wanted to contribute on our scale to help the movement by offering a donation of €2,000.
We are approaching the end of 2021, and these meaningful projects encourage us to continue this solidarity momentum into 2022. We also wish to continue communicating about initiatives that are important to us, to inform and educate our customers and colleagues. 2022 promises to be rich in sharing and mutual support—stay connected on our social media to follow the Districlos journey!
